Application of blast furnace slag powder:

The slag contains silicate, aluminate, and a large amount of calcium-containing glassy materials (such as C2S, CAS2, C2AS, C3A, C2F, and CaSO4), which have independent hydraulic properties. Under the excitation of calcium oxide and calcium sulfate, it can harden when encountering water. After fine grinding, the hardening process is greatly accelerated. It is mainly used in the following two ways:

1. Substitute part of the cement clinker in equal amounts to reduce production costs and improve the comprehensive performance of cement.

2. It is used in the mixing plant to replace part of the cement consumption equally, improve the strength and workability of concrete, and improve the impermeability and frost resistance of concrete.

Application of Steel Slag Powder

The main chemical composition of steel slag is basically similar to that of Portland cement clinker and blast furnace slag, mainly including CaO, SiO2, MgO, Fe2O3, MnO, AI2O3, and P2O5. The chemical composition of steel slag determines that the mineral phases of steel slag are mainly C3S and C2S, followed by the RO phase, namely, the complete solid solution composed of MgOFeO, MnO, and f-CaO. Because it contains a lot of C3S and C2S, it has a good cementitious property, creating a good condition for the comprehensive utilization of steel slag in cement and concrete.

Application of superfine slag powder:
High-strength and high-performance superfine slag powder can improve the performance of fresh concrete and hardened concrete (especially durability, workability, and impermeability). At present, it has a great market prospect and is mainly used in the building materials industry as an auxiliary material addition, such as the direct addition of finished cement products, concrete mixing, etc.

The ultra-fine grinding scheme introduced by CHAENG can mix steel slag powder, fly ash, and other low-active materials in a certain proportion or add some mineral powder for ultra-fine grinding. The mill adopts an open circuit system or closed circuit system. The specific surface area of the composite superfine powder is controlled at 650-700 ㎡/kg, and the screen residue is generally controlled at 30 um ≤ 1%. Deeply stimulate the activity of slag powder, fly ash and other admixtures, and then reach the expected indicators, opening a new profit growth point for the building materials industry.
